Welcome to The Carying Place
The Carying Place teaches homeless, working families with children, life skills for attaining independent living while providing short-term housing and support services to address their individual needs.
Our goal is to help homeless, working families achieve independent living with the help of volunteer Support Partners. Our Support Partners and staff provide weekly guidance in managing personal finances, seeking permanent affordable housing, and maintaining employment – breaking the cycle of poverty families have experienced.
Over a 16-week period, these families are taught the skills required for self-sufficiency through mandatory Thursday evening meetings with their Support Partners.

I cannot believe how this program saved me and my family. The day we got the call that we were accepted is one of the happiest days of my life especially after having to live with family members who no longer had space for us. I will never forget hearing that we had the chance to finally get our lives back. My children now feel protected, have their own beds and they love the program. I am so grateful for The Carying Place. THANK YOU FOR HELPING US CHANGE OUR LIVES!
