Cary Town Council Approves Carr Center Development

We at The Carying Place are thrilled to share that the Cary Town Council has unanimously approved a rezoning application for an affordable housing development on the property of Greenwood Forest Baptist Church. This project, known as The Carr Center, is a collaborative effort between Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, The Carying Place, and DHIC, a nonprofit housing developer. The development will feature 62 affordable housing units aimed at households earning between 30% and 60% of the area median income. Additionally, the ground floor will house the Greenwood Forest Children’s Center, offices for The Carying Place, and a branch of the local YMCA.
