Joy Buckmier joined The Carying Place as the Property Coordinator in 2025.

After spending 19 years volunteering in local public schools, where her children attended, and coming across one particular family struggling with homelessness, Joy is excited to be part of a support system for homeless working families. With over 15 years of experience in rental properties and a talent for creating welcoming spaces, Joy is passionate about preparing each home in our program as a safe place for families to retreat in their world.
